Issue 28 | Quiltfolk Colorado
It's here the Quiltfolk Colorado issue and more beautiful in person. I am still in awe of being on the cover and featured in the issue. It started back in May when the Editor in Chief, Breanna Briggs, reached out asking to feature me. I was ecstatic to say the least. Over the month of June I met with my writer, Rebecca Bratburd, who is also a quilter and we had the best time talking and sharing my story. Shortly after I meet with the photographers Melanie and Kimberlee Zacek who were so nice and treated my art with such care. Though I haven't see the printed magazine in person the article and photos are amazing and I am so excited to share with y'all.
Scroll to enjoy some of the incredible photos taken.
Katie Zahm, an IT project manager for a major health company and former math teacher, wants nothing more than to quilt full time, so she can teach deaf children quilting. After she suddenly lost most of her hearing as a young adult, she found solace in quilting. She’s one of the Denver Metro Modern Quilt Guild’s most active members, where she drives recruitment through a strong social media presence and an up-to-date and engaging website. Every day, through patterns and teaching other quilters by way of her namesake quilting business, she inches closer to her goal.
