Crease your fabric instead of marking it. Such a simple difference but it comes with less risk.

Aurifil thread is 100% cotton, which matches the fabric I use. I was told once it’s good practice to use the same material for your fabric and thread and it stuck with me.
Confession - I sew over my pins. I’m sure a few of you are cringing right now, but I do have to say I don’t just sew over any pins. I sew over these ultra-thin pins and I’ve never had any issues.
Starch is the way to go if you ask me. My husband is sensitive to smells, so this Scent-Free option keeps everyone in the house happy!
